Welcome To Our Chapter Of Invisible Youth Network!
This website is dedicated to invisible youth,
whether they're among those without a roof over their heads or
whether they're living at home, in foster care, or elsewhere
but still fall under the category of
being considered at-risk for one reason or another
Hello, Friend!
When you came to this website, did you know where you were heading or did you just kinda stumble across it while surfing the web? Perhaps, a friend recommended that you come here.
However you got here, please make yourself at home and look around, as--even in the early stages of building this website--there's a lot to see.
So, what exactly is this place in Cyberspace where you have just landed?
Where you are now (and I hope you'll not only stick around for awhile at this time but, also, will return often and invite your friends to visit here as well) is one chapter of Invisible Youth Network that represents Madison County, which is located in East Central Indiana and has the city of Anderson as its county seat.
At this time, it's the only chapter located in the area, but that doesn't mean that it has a corner on the market, as we hope to get individuals, organizations, schools, etc. involved in creating chapters, both in Madison County and other places throughout the county, state, country, and the world!!!
This particular chapter has been created by Ainsley Jo Phillips (yours truly) who lives just south of the city of Anderson on the same farm where she has lived since she was a little over a year old.
A beautiful, winding body of water called Sugar Fork Creek runs through the farm--and that inspired the name for this chapter.
Some of my goals for this chapter are as follows:
- To introduce you to the mission of our parent organization: Invisible Youth Network
- To encourage putting said mission into practice, both from a local level and a widespread one
- To encourage both a sense of community pride along with taking pride in being part of something larger than what lies within the borders of our county and even within the borders of our state
- To provide a special spot along the Information Superhighway where people can come together to get educated, get motivated, get their spirits lifted, leave their comfort zones from time to time--but done as painlessly as possible, and simply to enjoy themselves
On this note, I will close and ask you to feel free to drop me a line by going to the page where an e-mail form awaits to let me know if I'm succeeding in those goals.
Warmly,
Thank you for being one of
visitors to our website!
Please return often!
